Tara McDonnell recently retired from the Occupational Health and Safety Department at Providence Health Care where she held the position of Coordinator Violence Prevention Program.
Tara is a registered social worker with over 25 years of experience in a variety of hospital and community settings. She has a masterís of Social Work and a post-baccalaureate diploma in Gerontology. For 10 years, Tara worked exclusively in Workplace Violence Prevention, doing clinical work, research, and education. Professionally, she is currently consulting in Workplace Violence Prevention and continues to work for Providence Health Care in the Social Work Department.
Tara has a passion for all aspects of violence prevention and is committed to supporting healthcare workers in the workplace and finding ways to improve their quality of work life.
